The ESGE’s annual congress is an unmissable event for all members of the endoscopy team and the perfect place to update your skills and network. 7 live streams across 3 days will deliver a packed and high-quality scientific programme developed with the whole endoscopy team in mind. ESGE President Professor Mário Dinis-Ribeiro looks forward to connecting with the endoscopy community at the event; “Everyone involved in endoscopy, from experienced endoscopists, trainees, nurses or other stakeholders simply has to join us in March. This is the unique forum dedicated to endoscopy, and the most recent advances will be presented from all over the world. This year is online, but the contents and the flavour of interactivity will be retained.”

· ESGE received 783 very high-quality scientific abstracts for ESGE Days 2021, from 53 different countries. It demonstrates our rich international knowledge base and confirms that ESGE Days is the perfect forum at which to present your best GI endoscopic research.

· ESGE are proud to award 60 grants to researchers who have submitted an abstract. Our grant recipients have been specially selected by our Scientific Committee and will receive free registration to ESGE Days 2021, as well as the opportunity to present their abstract. They will also, along with all accepted abstracts, have their abstract published in ESGE’s official organ, Endoscopy, the journal with the highest Impact Factor in the field of digestive endoscopy in the world.

· ESGE received a record number of research grant applications this year – 3 times more than last year. At ESGE Days 2021, the top selected applicants will present their projects in the Research Champions Den to the ‘Dragons’, who will decide how the grants will be awarded.

· The winners of the ESGE Innovation of the Year award and the EGSE Medtronic Artificial Intelligence Research award will be announced during ESGE Days 2021.
